Cutting up oranges, driving to training, filling out score sheets, removing stains from jumpers – if it wasn’t for the love and support of their mothers’, many footballers across the country wouldn’t be where they are today!

To celebrate mums around Australia this Mother’s Day, Carlton is hosting its inaugural Mother’s Day Walk around Princes Park, and we’d love to see you there.

The walk, which is proudly sponsored by Visy, will set off from Ikon Park at 9am and is open to all Bluebaggers and their families.

The leisurely 3.2km stroll is a perfect way to kick off Mother’s Day, before the lunchtime festivities.

After battling it out with archrivals Collingwood the night before, Carlton players will also take part in the walk to coincide with their morning recovery session.

Registration is free, with an option to donate a gold coin on the day.

All money raised will be placed into the ‘Carlton Football Community Fund’, which supports the Club’s work with girls in the local community.
