Milestones: Sam Rowe
Carlton’s Sam Rowe will play his 50th AFL game this weekend against GWS.
Rowe was recruited to Carlton from SANFL club Norwood with a second round selection in the 2011 National Draft. A mature-age recruit, Rowe had a tough path to the AFL and previously spent two years on Sydney’s rookie list.

At the age of 25, Rowe made his long-awaited AFL debut in Round 2, 2013 against Collingwood. In 2014 he earned Carlton’s Most Improved Player Award and at the end of the season was elevated to the Blues’ leadership group.

Milestones: Tom Bell
Carlton’s Tom Bell will play his 50th AFL game this weekend when the Blues take on GWS.

Tom Bell came to Carlton via a first round selection in the 2011 rookie draft. The big-bodied midfielder from Queensland made his debut in Round 17, 2012 against the Western Bulldogs, and went on to earn the Blues’ Best First Year Player Award. After another consistent season in 2013, Bell was elevated to Carlton’s senior list.

Curtain raiser:
Before Carlton takes on GWS, there is a NEAFL curtain raiser between the UWS GIANTS and Sydney University. The match starts at 10.05am, with the main game kicking off at 1.45pm. Gates open at 10.00am for those wanting to attend.

Travelling by trains to Sydney Olympic Park is FREE with your match ticket or membership card and trains depart Lidcombe station every 10 minutes until midnight.

Sydney buses will operate to a regular weekend timetable. Route 525 operates between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park (cost not included in your match ticket).
