OVERVIEW
In 2014, Michael Jamison continued to lead by example in defence as Carlton's tall and dependable backman. Rarely beaten, his work rate and consistency saw Jamison finish 6th overall for the 2014 John Nicholls Medal.

Off the field the 28-year-old returned to the Carlton podcast as co-host, a role he looks set to revisit next year. He also cemented his position as a leader within the Club, being named Carlton's deputy vice-captain.

In return, Jamison confirmed his desire to play out his football career at Visy Park, re-signing with the Blues for an additional three years.

HE SAID IT
"We do know we've certainly turned our form around from the first half of the year and that's pleasing and it gives us confidence going into next year. But we'd certainly like to turn some of these close losses into wins."

- Jamison speaking to AFL Media in August, 2014.

THEY SAID IT
"Michael is a leader on and off the field, and a much-respected member of our team. On the field Michael is a General for us in defence with a terrific work and training ethic, while off the field he shows strong voice as a Club spokesman who always puts his hand up to help. While Michael could have pursued free agency his decision to remain at Carlton reflects the belief he has in where we are heading."

- Carlton's GM of Football Operations Andrew McKay speaking after Jamison re-signed with the Blues until at least the end of 2017.

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
Carlton's 85-point win over St Kilda in Round 16 was one of Jamison’s finest games of the season – he gathered 19 disposals and took 14 marks, while the Saints were held to just 10 goals for the match.
