The Carlton Football Club is pleased to announce Steven Trigg as the Club’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Trigg will commence in the role on August 18 after finalising his commitments in Adelaide.

Carlton President Mark LoGiudice said the appointment came after an extensive recruitment process.

“We have ensured that no stone has been left unturned in our search for a new chief executive,” LoGiudice said.

“With the assistance of Egon Zehnder we have run an extensive process to find the best candiate for the role and I am pleased to announce that person is Steven Trigg.

“Steven was among a host of candidates from around the globe who were interviewed for this position. He impressed us with his business and football experience, and his vision to take our football club forward.

“Importantly he comes with the AFL’s full endorsement.

“This is a significant appointment for Carlton and I am very pleased Steven will be joining our team.”

Trigg, who has been at the Adelaide Crows for nearly two decades including more than 12 years as CEO, brings a wealth of business and football experience to the Carlton Football Club.

The 52-year-old former SANFL player has achieved outstanding results in his time at the Crows. He led the move to the redeveloped Adelaide Oval, oversaw ongoing strong financial performance, established an elite training facility, and managed the introduction of the Crows’ SANFL team.

Trigg will relocate to Melbourne in August.
